Seth Aaron Henderson, recent winner of the hit reality show Project Runway, is a rising fashion-design star. Self-taught and with a unique point of view, personality and panache, his creations bring innovation and a modern perspective to classic silhouettes, often featuring graphic elements and pops of color on black and white.
Since his Project Runway triumph in April 2010, Seth Aaron has designed an exclusive solar-power-inspired collection for SolarWorld that debuted at Portland Fashion Week 2010; launched a high-fashion line of iPad covers with Maroo; served as the head casting judge for season 9 of “Project Runway;” been featured in and blogged for fashion magazine Marie Claire; and made celebrity appearances at events nationwide.
Seth Aaron got his start in 1998 as a fashion stylist with department store Meier & Frank. Over the next decade, he was a stylist for various businesses and celebrities including Nike, Fred Meyer, Rolling Stone magazine, Iridio Portland studio, Everclear and Storm Large. He dressed models and performers and established looks for catalog, billboard and magazine photo shoots, and music videos. More than one client often asked him, “Why don’t you have your own clothing line?” In 2005, his wife bought him a sewing machine for Christmas, he borrowed some fabric from his mother’s house and his own designs started coming to life.
Big dreams have always been part of Seth Aaron. He’s been “into clothes” since he was a toddler and is thrilled to see his career developing in fashion and entertainment. He looks forward to having his label with Earthtec admired and worn by many. Seth Aaron also hopes to become a household name with multiple clothing and accessory lines like his idols Karl Lagerfeld (Chanel), Tom Ford (Gucci and Yves Saint Laurent) and his all-time favorite, Alexander McQueen.
He was voted MY TV 2010’s “Best male reality star”. Seth is providing ongoing commentary for Lifetime, Marie Claire, E!, and Style. Now launching his Fall/Winter 2013 collection of Pendleton Wool apparel, Seth’s collection features stunning colors and lines made from Oregon’s own Pendleton Wollen Mills.
The son of a Hispanic sewer/painter/crafter and a Scottish painter/sculptor/cartoonist, Seth Aaron was born and raised in San Diego. At 17, Seth Aaron relocated with his family to Vancouver, Washington, where he graduated from high school in 1991. He and his wife, Tina, still live there with their teenage children.
